I would not recommend this practice I took my 13-year-old cat to this practice when she was very unwell and had a painful ear problem, a problem she had been treated for previously at this practice 12 months before . I paid for consultations, blood tests and was advised to pay for an ultrasound and additional tests costing over £1,000, while an ear infection had still not been ruled out or treated and apparantly the ear hadn't been looked at due to my cat being aggressive ( even though medical notes I received disputed this). My cat was becoming more unwell. I was asked to wait for the ultrasound and further investigations where apparently she would be sedated and they would be able to look in her ear properly ? But this would be another 10 days off. My instinct told me it was her ear and so I took her to another vet for a second opinion. The vet who examined Lily's ear, found significant debris and diagnosed an ear infection. After treatment she made a full recovery. I made a detailed complaint to this practice and raised concerns about the conflicting accounts of whether her ear had actually been examined, how her behaviour was recorded, and the information provided to my insurer. The information provided by the vets was not what I had initially taken her with . I provided evidence in my complaint and gave them the opportunity to address my concerns. They responded with an email that contradicted her medical notes and emails I received off the vet who was treating her. Unfortunately, after sending a further email explaining that I was not satisfied with their response, I have received no reply. This was over 2 weeks ago . I feel the practice was happy to take my money but has taken zero accountability for the concerns I raised. I am extremely disappointed with how Lily and my complaint were handled. I had to pay another vetinary practice for the same complaint I had taken her here for initially. So an ear infection ended up costing me £650. This is not acceptable and the fact they have taken zero accountability and the fact they never even replied to an email where I provided evidence disputing their account of the version of events. I would definitely steer well clear of this practice.

I took our cockerpoo to Harwood vets without appointment, I rang first because it was emergency. The receptionist was marvellous and accommodating. We saw the veterinary nurse first and she was thorough and brilliant, then the vet was so good ,knowledgeable and thoroughly reassuring, thank-you, Bertie

I can't thank Pennine vets enough for how kind and caring they have been. The staff who work here are who make this such a good practice. I made the heartbreaking decision to have my pet put to sleep here- and I am so grateful for how patient and empathetic they have been with me.

Many thanks to All the staff at Harwood vets today Tuesday 5th August. Evy in spite of being “sedated” her strength gave them all a “ good work out” She met her match and today it was Harwood Pennine Vets 1 Evy 0 We can’t thank you enough for showing patience & finally clipping her Dew Claw. She’s now at home shattered and looking content. We won’t tell her “ mum” how many treats it took, but she deserved them. Thank you Mary & Richard
